Skipping to manage, just in the last minute, to post that, according to Pix "If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me" Jan 5, 2010 8:47:30 pm PST today is Pix and NoiseDesign's anniversary.
Happy day, Pix and ND! With lots of wishes for a wonderful year together!
msbelle, I looked for my copy of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and I can't find it. So ... won't be sending it to you. Sorry. (I think we posted in this thread.)
msbelle - I have that book and will gladly mail it to you.
I think I may be forced to buy Mockingjay, since no one has the kindle edition. I assuaged myself with a library book, but now that I am riding the bus both ways, I can pretty much read one YA book a day and the library is limited.
I can also tell this is not going to be the best day-- I am overwhelmed by lots of piddly work, everything between my chest and my knees hurts, and somehow my scarf smells like yeast.
Nasty smell of the week - people were complaining that various Metro stations smelled of rotten fish. Turns out that Metro bought "organic" brake pads which, when used, smell like rotten fish. They bought something like 10,000 of them ... ew
Oh, Sophia, I might have Mockingjay in paper if you want it?
I saw a beautiful Jag in a nearby parking lot today with the license plate "MS BELL". If it weren't for the misspelling, I'd ask if msbelle had relocated and wanted a Trianglistas get-together.

Ewww, indeed. Bulk buying isn't always your friend.
Thanks Jesse, but I can totally get the kindle edition. It just seems weird to own only one, since I borrowed the others and doubt I will reread.
Also- one book per day is too much! But I can recommend this book [link] which I got from the library. It is not YA, but contains a young adult.
So last night Dylan and I had another long conversation about how he wants to be Christian. Oy vey.
(I'm pretty sure this is coming from his best friend talking about being in his church pageant over Christmas, and listening to "Open Up The Window Noah" and that other song about how the unicorn got left off the ark - who knew kid-friendly folk music could lead to such heavy duty conversations??)
He also asked me to "tell him the Bible" last night at dinner. I said it was a really really long book and I didn't know the whole thing, and he said "Well just tell me the part you know." Smart-ass kid.
