I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Burrell, have you read Shirley Jackson's Life with Savages and Raising Demons? Your night sounds a lot like one she describes.

Because books.

Oh, yay, Maria! Sorry again they were so late.

Ginger, I've wanted to read those forever.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I haven't read her, Ginger, but it sounds like I maybe should.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I read it as "half blood prince" meds too. That was a mental flight of fancy I rather enjoyed.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I also read it as HBP meds. Of course I read OMG as SMG a lot when we talked about Buffy all the time!

I would ask in literary, but I think there are more people here-- I have read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire through the kindle lending library, but I don't get another loaner until February and I can read a book like that in one day. I am jonesing to find out the end-- so before I purchase it, does anyone have the kindle edition that they can loan me?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

But would the Half Blood Prince meds cause nose loss? Because that's a con for me.

Just get yourself a prosthetic silver nose like Tycho Brahe.

We woke up late this morning so had a frantic scramble to get Matilda up and to school.

If there's one thing she hates it's being rushed when she's sleepy. However, the one thing that counteracts that is to give her a bezoar. No wait, that's what we should give to smonster. The one thing that helps is get Matilda laughing, so while I substituted toast-with-jam for cereal as the more portable breakfast I was able to get her going with jam slapstick and then explained to her why the Doctor loves Jammy Dodgers and then she was a Jammy (at least around her mouth) Dodger (running away from me) all the way to school.

So we weren't so late that we needed to get a tardy note.

This shirt took me a moment to get, but then it made me laugh.

oh speaking of books people might have. Anyone have girl with dragon tattoo they would let me borrow? The library is way backed up and I have already posted a request on free cycle. Really do not want to spend money.
