Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I'm not sure that getting up earlt actually helps me, because I move so slowly. When I get up late, at least I have panic on my side.

Also, I used to be totally a morning person-- as a teen, in college, forever. Now I actually feel better staying up super late and getting up super late-- but I cannot do that. But every time I have time off for theatre, I get into the mode of staying up until 4 or 5 am and sleeping until 11 am.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I really prefer sleeping approx. 12-8, which shouldn't be so different than what works with my job, but feels REALLY different.

I don't have a ride anymore because my ride somehow accidentally sold her house to buy another house, and then her pre-approved mortgage fell through and now she has no house and had to move in with a friend (and bring her mentally challenged brother, her niece and her niece's toddler, so must be a good friend). She was buying a bigger house because all these people were living with her.

Good lord!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think I need to start going to bed at 10 because it's too cold to walk from the subway to my office and the buses are SO FREAKING SLOW. I'm used to leaving the house at 7, but I've been late to work 2 days in a row.

My biggest problem is that I want to fall asleep at 5 am, but I actually need to get up at 5 am. Which leads to crazy sleeping- after a vacation I have 1 day of no sleep at all, followed by a day where I fall asleep as soon as I get home, and then am awake in the middle of the night, then asleep when I need to get up, followed by a night where I fall asleep at 8 pm and am up at 3 am, followed by a "normal" night of sleep.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Sophia, that is a crazy story.

I am still home sick. This is really, really bad timing because today we are starting a "race the demo" project. My supvr took the crew out there, and none of them have ever seen the project before, and two of my stronger members are still on other crews . Bleccch. And I had to cancel some other stuff, which pissed off some people.

It's nice to be important, I guess?

I am attempting oatmeal with a splash of half and half and a wee bit of brown sugar. Wish me luck.

Oh smonster, the ick stomach is the worst. Being important is awesome until The Sick happens.

I am up earlier than I'd like. I have 4 more days of vacation then a sick day. During this week, I've been to a doctor's office 3 times (once for me, once for Noah and once for Grace). Also my doc finally (FINALLY) prescribed high blood pressure meds. It's been at 150/95 for about 3 years, give or take. Der.

Ann, that's a ferret.

All condolences to your friend, ita.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I overslept just a little, and technically I could still leave on time, but I have the feeling I may be a little late, because I need more time for the coffee to work.

I still have my stupid head cold, so I'm working from home today. No one at the office needs to listen to me and my phlegm symphony.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

ita !, I am so sorry for you and your friend. Peace and strength to the both of you.

Sophia, I know you've been toying around with the idea of buying a car. At least for me, this last situation would have pushed me over the edge. Time and aggravation are also money.

smonster and Calli, I hope you feel better soon.

Kat, so what you're saying is that this week hasn't really felt like a vacation, right? Glad you finally got HBP meds.

Perkins, the coffee has had hours to work on me, and I don't think it has. I've misdialed phone numbers three times this morning.
