And I wonder, what possible catastrophe came crashing down from heaven and brought this dashing stranger to tears?

Art Crawl!!!

Good job, Matt! Beginning as you hope to go on.

(I'm going to my knitting group.)

Also - Billytea - Ryan is just lovely. Can't tell you how much I enjoy seeing pictures of Ryan.

Well, and all the Buffista babies. How they grow! And how funny, smart and amazing they are.

Also - Juliet Landau tweeted this:

Best lead performances for Matt and I, Best Production + Best Star Making Performance for me. :)

Found out at midnight that DANNY won 3 awards from Broadwayworld. com

Don't know what that award is - but good for her and the rest of the production.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Matt,

what movie?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It looks like she's doing John Patrick Shanley's Danny and the Deep Blue Sea at a theater in L.A.

So presumably an L.A. theater award.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Focus, LeN, focus.

Hey, Amy, is this Sara's first outside-the-family earnings? It's much more easy to justify framing it if it's got a *good* president's face on it. It was sweet, though. Happy holidays! And who knows, maybe she rolled it up just so that you wouldn't be able to try and give it back right there. Time to work on hooker tricks of telling what any bill is from a sliver of it. Amongst other hooker tricks, obvs.

Because books.

Amongst other hooker tricks, obvs.

I forgot to use my hooker tricks!

Yeah, she was appropriately impressed and a little humbled by the amount, although she also went on to say she was "excellent with children," so.

Ben wants his hair buzzed later, and otherwise I'm spending the day in jammies copyediting, possibly with a movie on.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Matt,
what movie?

Still up in the air, though probably either The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo or The Darkest Hour. We're meeting a bit before the spate of evening movies at the cinema, and can decide what we want to see there.

What are you looking for to get out of the movie? I've not seen a good review of The Darkest Hour yet (well, IO9 called it the best worst of 2011). Bonding through snark? Perfectly viable dating angle.

He likes suspense, so we're aiming for something with some thrills but no sparkly vampires in it.

I actually saw The Darkest Hour on Christmas day, but it's enjoyable enough I don't mind seeing it again with company.
