Had to take Cody to the vet this morning. He's limping pretty badly and I was worried he'd torn his ACL or dislocated his hip. Turns out it's a sprain. He's got a Rx for NSAIDs and some narcotics for a couple of days.

I had a very nice Christmas as friends saved me from sadness because my brother told me he didn't want to have to pick me up from the train station so I wasn't invited. Instead I got to hang out with my best friend from college's extended family - see the house that she is hoping to buy (contract pending), be amused and charmed by her sister's sister-in-law's 3 year old boy and just generally take part in a large and close family Christmas. What would I do without them?
