I had a very nice Christmas as friends saved me from sadness because my brother told me he didn't want to have to pick me up from the train station so I wasn't invited. Instead I got to hang out with my best friend from college's extended family - see the house that she is hoping to buy (contract pending), be amused and charmed by her sister's sister-in-law's 3 year old boy and just generally take part in a large and close family Christmas. What would I do without them?

Score! I found a forgotten $25 Barnes & Noble gift certificate from last Christmukkah that paid for most of the Captain AmericaDVD. I have absentmindedness to thank for getting a really good movie rather than blowing it on some spinach movie this summer that I'd probably only watch once or twice.
