Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've been eying that for myself, Allyson. But I keep buying tee shirts instead.

Timelies all. Presents have all been opened, kids are happy with their haul as am I. Now they are at their dad's for their second round of gifts.

CJ got his own laptop (he had my 5 year old laptop for a while and then a laptop borrowed from his dad) and a bunch of nerd shirts (thinkgeek.com, woot.com, teefury.com and lolshirts.com are great sources). K-Bug got her KitchenAide mixer and she is quite excited. With that big gifty, she didn't get a whole lot else from me, so I tried to throw her off by wrapping a thing of sugar and a thing of flour. She figured out the mixer just from opening the sugar.

I have no pictures, alas. I need to be better about that. With them gone for now, I'm just chilling and watching It's a Wonderful Life.

Merry Christmas.

We opened presents at my sister's at 6a, slept some, came over to the hospital around noon. They all went back home, and I'm hanging here through dinner, then back. Am so sleepy. Had fun opening my Mom's to and from stuff here. She is doing great, and word is she may be able to go home tomorrow with an oral regimen. That would be awesome.

Love all the pix people are sharing here, FB, etc. Ah, the modern era.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

We had deer come and visit us in my sister's back yard for Christmas.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'll post more when I'm off the iPhone, but our Christmas included a little boy jumping out of his skin with delight at being confronted with five Ryans, and a rainbow over the jetty. It was a very good Christmas.

Finally talked with my dad. Not sure why it was so hard to connect with him before now but we had a good talk. He got our present to him and his wife and apparently our presents are still in the mail.

Kids are still gone. Was hoping they would get back earlier enough that we could go to the movies.

brillig

Just back from the Sherlock Holmes movie. Stephen Fry as Mycroft! How wonderful! And poor Mary Watson being confronted by that over the morning tea.

Not as good as the first one, granted, but a great deal of fun nonetheless. And lots of hoyay.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Fingers crossed for your mother, Jen. I'm off to visit my grandmother in the hospital.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Owen saw the Sarah McLaughlin ASPCA commercial and started crying today. He told me, "We need to make a donation to help lonely animals!"

Uftda. I assured him we donate to our local shelter to help. Poor noodle has zero emotional filters.
