Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've got a big fondness for the Mr Magoo version.

I also think the WKRP in Cinncinnati episode is noteworthy.

Yes, I haven't left yet. sigh.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

OH! A 12 pack of good quality green TP would be a nice gift from Santa for under the tree. I say good to CVS LeN.

I am in the airport. I chose to pay the money and drive and park here rather than take the bus and train.

It is no more crowded here than usual, but slightly more filled with people who stop in the middle of walkways or doorways. I hate the N terminal, though. Am also mad I bought little packs of peanut butter, cut up an apple, and then left the PB on the table.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

In fixing the icky virus from last night, I also fixed whatever had been blocking my iTunes from seeing the internet. I feel VERY accomplished this morning.

LeN...splurg and get the 3-ply. Total Christmas luxury.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Egad! I'm cleaning up before xmas dinner prep and consumption and I think we had a health code violation behind the garbage can. This is what comes of staggering around at 5:30am trying to make coffee before you've had coffee.

Anyway, bleach-y cleansers have been deployed such that my lungs now fill toxic but the floor is not.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Just got back from skating and am about to prep for Xmas guests. DH's sis and Bro and her adorbs husband (and their three dogs) are coming for Movie day. Love them all so this is not a chore.

My family has a scandal brewing-my cousin and his wife of 30 years are separating after the holidays, but I don't think anyone knows about it. Apparently he's been falling off the wagon over the past year and some of those falls have involved cheating. Really not good. They've been in counseling, but it hasn't helped. He's one of my favorite people and I adore his wife--they got together in college--so this is really sad. For him, for her, for their three kids. Feh.

Is there such a thing?

SANTA!

That is sad, Scrappy.

So, I'm in the hospital for my Mom. Diabetic and appears a small cut on the leg got infected. This happened five years ago and went on way too long before it was discovered; this seems to have been caught much earlier. Short of breath this morning for a bit, too, so they're checking for heart stuff. Seems like IV antibios in the hospital for a couple days from doc's preliminary assessment. She's extra bummed about the timing, of course. Calm, though. My sister's here, too. We shall carry on. It's how we do.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Omg, best holiday convo ever. Toilet Paper And Also Family Scandals. I love you guys!

So far today I got up to feed smonster's cats and go grocery shopping for Xmas lasagna fixins. Then back to bed for napping. It's a cold dreary day out there, inspiring little more than that.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Bathroom tissue issues are exactly the sort of thing that family travel is fraught with. Like, when I run out the roll, where is the replacement? And if I have to ask for it, am I being a wasteful, extravagant tissue user?

It's possible I have issues. With my tissues.
