I'm sorry, Nilly. Much peace to you and your family.

Condolences, Nilly.
Peace and strength to you, your husband and his family, Nilly, and the best quality medical ~ma to your father. You are always in our hearts.
Ginger says it perfectly; you all are in my thoughts.
Hung out with sarameg at the airport winebar! Awesome!!
Awesome!
So, I had kind of a disappointing first-trip-since-I-moved to Trader Joe's. I think I wasn't in as much of the mood as I thought I was. I bought butter, chicken sausages, yogurt, bread, and pasta (OK, and some white fudge with peppermint sticks sprinkled on top cookies) for me. Very uninspired!
I found chocolate truffle filled figs coated in chocolate, though. The lady next to me said they were delicious, and my mother loves figs, so... we'll see. Anyone here had them? I know I just heard about them somewhere, but I don't remember whether it was here or live and in-person with someone.
Also, it's in a place called Jenkintown, which is so different from what I am now going to call my sleepy little town (at least the parts of it I've seen so far). The closest approximation, though it's not entirely right, for the area I was is the Tyson's corner area in Virgina. Not quite it, but, damn, that was some traffic!

Perkin sent me some, but I haven't opened the box. But I am excited to try them.
Ah, thanks, so it was here. I should just assume I hear about things here, because that's usually the truth of it.
Dinner tonight: brown rice cooked in chicken broth from poaching the other night (I bought a crapload of frozen chicken breasts a couple weeks ago, which is why the obsession), which is SO good and chicken salad with apples and almonds made with the actual chicken. Yum.
well no job offers from the 4 applications I sent off yesterday, slackers. I did an in-person application at a car dealership today (receptionist).
I need to do at least one app tonight.
Just watched Louis CK's special, and two things: I would be pissed if I had paid the $75 or whatever to see the show live (just him, one hour, no opener or anything, and now I've seen it with no cameras in the way for $5!), and also I can't decide if I would think he was too old for me in a picture, because he is not actually, and we should totally date, and I would hate to overlook him on OKCupid. Where I am sure he is just waiting for me.
I have a niece who is 11 and loves tie die (I can't remember how to spell that!) and peace signs. I'm looking for a cool Christmas gift. Anyway have any ideas?
eta: I think 11-13 might be the hardest age ever to shop for. I know her and see her often and have no idea what to get her.

I dunno; it doesn't seem any different than paying more to go to a concert than you do to buy a "live in concert" album. And the live show was about 90 minutes long; it's not all in the special.
But apparently the sound was bad for at least one show. That would be vexing.
