ARGH. Plumber is here, can't figure out what's wrong with the water heater, says it's a fancy one that costs like, $2500. Seriously?!? What is so fancy about it, I don't know (but am going to ask), since the most priciest one at, say, Home Depot, is like, $1500.

Dear sweet blessed mother . . . I've avoided the damned Grandma Got Run Over song all year, and what do I hear when I call a customer and the Verizon voice chirps "Please enjoy this tune while we dial the customer"? That. Damned. Song.
edit: What the hell is wrong with listening to the phone ringing!!
Send help, I have fallen into the THIS IS NOT VICTORIAN snark Tumblr and can't get out.
"GIRL, YOUR FLANNEL IS NOT VICTORIAN".
Do you think people (mis)use "Victorian" as a synonym for "fancy, especially fancy with lace and/or ruffles and sort of old-fashioned looking and maybe poofy"? I'm starting to think that's the reasoning behind the misuse.
Although that *really* doesn't explain the flannel.

I think most people don't know anything about historical eras and that's the nearest Olden Type one. I doubt any of those people know what baroque is except possibly as a very fruity kind of classical music.
I'm sorry, msbelle. Hope you can find something soon.
Awww, fuck 'em, msbelle!
Bad timing though. I'm sorry. That really sucks hard.
However, I would like to emphasize: Fuck them!

Yes. I know I'm guilty of misusing the term sometimes, but I usually try to say "Victorian-inspired".
Argh! I'm very sorry, msbelle.
