Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

We need pictures of the fuzzy sparkly Christmas hat. For...reference. You know.

I agree re: hat pictures.

Our wings are not tired.

I've had a crapTAStic day, BUT (squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee) just discovered S.E. Hinton on Twitter.

My day is suddenly okay.

Yes.

Uhg, just got word that my awesome, cross-country-motorcycling Uncle Frank just got home from the hospital. Divertriculosus (not itis) but massive hemorrhaging. No infection, it's just likely to happen again, solution is to go to the nearest ER. I expect this compromises his roaming ways, and that makes me sad.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yep. Of course, I knew that when I voted for him.

Yep. Me too. Not happy, but not particularly surprised.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh I adore you Uncle Frank, Sara! Hope he mends up soon and easily.

Me too. Both he and my aunt have done bouts with cancer, Sue is 70, he's 73/74. My dad is 70.

I'm just in denial about my mom's family's mortality. Eldest aunt is ..shit. She might be approaching 80. How the fuck. I can't remember the age difference between her and my mom.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Yep. Of course, I knew that when I voted for him.

Yep.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Oh mac, cut your mom some slack. Brattiness sucks.

I am still at work. Blargh.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I also knew when I voted for Obama. But on some issues he was worse than I expected. Civil liberties he is NOT a what used to be a moderate Republican. His civil liberty position is more on the lines of the Nixon wing of the Republican party. And well to the right of where he campaigned. Nor does he sufficiently respect scientfic evidence. Plan B is only the latest example.
