Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Man, I was such an emotionally deficient child, it seems. Unless it featured alligators or slavery, I was pretty much immune.

Amy, maybe you can re-hydrate them before you put them into the cookies? Take out the guesswork?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So, Obama is going to sign off on the Indefinite Retention bill, which means no habeas corpus.

Which is just insane to me. So, he can go fuck himself and everybody in the White House can go fuck themselves and their police state wanting ways. If you don't know what a dictatorship looks like, well, it starts with holding people in jail without due process.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Cool, Hec. eta uh, xpost. Cool on the brunch with Angus, not the destruction of our civil society.

Because books.

Dad's going to run to the supermarket for me to get fresh, and pick up my prescription, which I forgot about. Retired parents with cars are handy.

It was definitely fun seeing Angus. And I couldn't be more appalled at Obama.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Man, I was such an emotionally deficient child, it seems.

I think Franny's behavior speaks more to her being a bit high strung, like her mother. At any rate, when I was kid I definitely felt that my reactions were the ones that were off-base. No one else was running from the room in tears when "The Three Stooges" was on tv. I was the weirdo.

I never believed Obama when he said he would veto it in the first place.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I was also a high strung child. I could not watch Grover singing "I'm so Blue", Puff the Magic Dragon, or The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe without serious hysterics.

I am seriously having a hard time understanding why anybody would think that this isn't a gross abuse of power, and contrary to the Constitution. How is it Constitutional?

Obama has long made it clear he believes in the unitary executive, not by his words but by his actions. And MSNBC mostly kvells about how tough he is as he assassinates people all over the world. This is just a logical next step. His primary objection to the original version was that it REQUIRED indefinite detention and REQUIRED military custody. Once it allowed executive discretion Obama was fine with it, because then it was pure expansion of executive power with no new limitations on Presidential discretion.
