Joyce: You don't think it's too obvious? I think I look like I have a cat on my head. Buffy: But a very well groomed cat. Joyce: Well that's a comfort.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

No, I would be crying NOW.

Probably at age 5 as well, but definitely NOW. Don't make me draw.

Heh, yeah, I should say that that person was talking to me in the context of writing papers, not creating artistic works (though, some of those papers were certainly creative in the "Now is the time when I draw a conclusion based on... shit, what the hell did I even say???" sections.) I was a horrible, very bad, not good student when it came to turning things in on time. I'm so sorry to your kind, buffista teachers. I'd have smacked me upside the head, probably, but none of your colleagues ever did. Well, maybe in their minds.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Shit, Hec, can you get me to finish my proposal? Because I think I have Matilda's problem.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I feel her (Matilda's) pain, and I also know that one of the best things anyone ever told me was, "Done is better than perfect."

I keep muttering to myself: "The perfect is the enemy of the good."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Shit, Hec, can you get me to finish my proposal? Because I think I have Matilda's problem.

Yes, I can!

Email what you have to me at my profile addy.

Also, I'm super good at proposals.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I am doing story research, and my search history is getting increasingly bizarre. If any Buffistas know about joining the Army, you should holler so I can pick your brains.

Because books.

If it can be "military" instead of specifically Army, shrift, I could.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Because I think I have Matilda's problem.

You need water poured over your cootch?

That would be awesome!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I don't so much let perfectionism stop me from drawing as end up going back days (or months) later and redoing stuff if I don't like it and it's nagging at me.

Speaking of, here's something I originally did as a black & white marker rendering but have now redrawn in color on the computer: [link]
