I can guest whenever I want to on CPP, but I have low self-esteem.

Oooh, Older Than The Stars and Starry Messenger (my love for Peter Sis is *huge*) look especially amazing, but really all of them look good.
Though, living in a multistory building with oldish plumbing, I hesitate to buy my child a book describing experiments that include flushing a bottle down the toilet.
In all fairness the book seems to suggest that flushing bottles down toilets doesn't end well.

True, but I don't put it past my child to think, "Ah, but I'm going to figure out how to do it right!"

I can pretty much guarantee that this is what I would have done at that age.
Timelies all!
Did not need to have one of the -70C freezers at work fail today.(Don't need it any day, but on Friday? Yeesh.) Having it happen when half the lab is out? Not helping. Also not helping? Not getting started on moving stuff from that freezer until 4:15 pm. Bleah.
Tonight I make cheesecake for Gary's birthday party.(which is tomorrow night)

I got mad at a student who wanted to quibble about her grade -- I told her she was on my time not hers now and if she wanted to argue about why I should change it, she needed to sit down and write it out. She got mad and huffed out.
Okay, it's important enough to argue, but not enough to write it down when asked. Well, okay.
Reading up on Kim Philby and the Cambridge spies I couldn't help but think that there's a great Black Adder to be done set in the Cold War.
Because even though the KGB had lucked into securing the spy services of several extremely well placed spies - they never trusted them at all because it came too easily. They almost completely wasted the resource by trying to catch Philby et al at being double agents. They had a very cunning plan.

Not that Dylan can read yet, but I have complete confidence that he would absolutely not read that far before trying it out himself.
I would also just like to say that I was sad when I finished all of that racism blog.
