That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I went conditioner-only a few years ago, and have really enjoyed the difference in the way my hair looks and feels -- it's softer and curlier and just generally easier to manage now. It took me about a week to get past the greasy stage, but now my hair feels as clean when I just condition it as it used to when I shampooed it too.

Also, I may be becoming a yoga convert. I'm really loving my prenatal yoga class (the first regular yoga class I've ever taken) and would strongly consider keeping up some kind of regular yoga practice after the baby is born (okay, maybe not *right* afterwards). Most studios I've looked at look fairly pricy, unfortunately, but there is one not far from my office that has a once-a-week pay-what-you-can lesson -- I should give them a try and see if their instructor is decent.

We've got Matilda's yeast infection under control but it's still making her yelp and cry when she pees.

Aw, poor noodle. Is she also still being treated for the UTI? Obviously IANAD, but the pain when peeing sounds more like a UTI than a standalone yeast infection to me. Hope it all clears up soon!

brenda, I'm sorry to hear the news about Darby. I hope the surgery is as easy and uncomplicated as possible.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Is she also still being treated for the UTI?

Nope, the second test for UTI came back negative. (The first was positive but we treated that with a weeks worth of antibiotics. Which is what apparently opened the door for the yeast infection.)

Anyway, the yeast infection is definitely clearing up. I was surprised that it hurt to pee again this morning because the medicine she's taking orally should alleviate that.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Poor Darby and Matilda!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Oh, poor Darby!

Fail her. And possibly nuke her from orbit.

Yes. It's the only way to be sure.

I just started using the Deva Curl No-Poo and their daily conditioner, followed by their gel. I still usually wash my hair every other day (although today is day three, and I can really tell--it's definitely feeling a bit grungy), like I used to. The hair is much softer than before (when I used Finesse and blew my hair dry), so that's a big plus.

I do have to use paper towel on my wet hair instead of a towel, which is a bit of an adjustment--I keep starting to rub the towel on my head when I finish showering, but I have to stop and think before leaving it alone.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Poor Matilda. That really is such a miserable feeling. Cranberry juice? That helps, if she likes it.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

She's taken a stand on cranberry juice. It's not good.

Other randomness: She and I were talking politics last night, as one does while brushing one's teeth with Disney Princess toothpaste, and immediately afterwards she ran out to tell Hec, "Daddy! Daddy! The Green Grinch wants to steal the White House from Barak Obama out and be president himself! I think we should put him in jail."

Dude. I got this from the Go Fug Yourself girls, but this website/store is awesome!! And this particular collection made me think of the Buffistas. Sadly I really like the necklaces more than the earrings (but I find I only ever wear earrings, not necklaces)

Also they recommended another shop with brass knuckle and throwing star necklaces, and it made me think of ita !

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Yeah, it's not so much range of motion. It's that the cartilage that cushions between your joints gets squished down and so bones don't have the cushion in the joints that they used to. So pushing off to get up from a squat is literally a bit of a grind.

My knees have actually been better since starting roller derby. Good Derby Stance is basically a squat and my quads and glutes are in the best shape they've ever been. It's adding more strength to my already good calves and the result has been more stability for my knees.

Now, if I fall and get injured, that's another story. But the work outs themselves, STELLAR for a 41 year old.

Aw. It's because I limited the swearing-like-a-sailor, isn't it?
