Simon: Captain... why did you come back for us? Mal: You're on my crew. Simon: Yeah, but you don't even like me. Why'd you come back? Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

Because books.

a UCSF study found that opiates along with mary jane (medical marijuana) can help people with their pain management

Did they also discover that the sky is blue? Not to be overly snarky, but this doesn't seem like a huge leap to me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ahahaha! I live in California, and this would never get past any of my doctors, no matter what studies approved it. OMG, if they thought I was a seeker now...

brillig

But I will note that I can't pull all-nighters anymore like I could even four or five years ago.

I remember how annoyed I was when I tried to pull an all-nighter and was absolutely non-functional the next day. Sleep seemed such a waste of time. Now, it's the sweet bounty of the gods.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Either she really doesn't know, and doesn't deserve a master's degree, or she does know and is lying about it, and doesn't deserve a master's degree.

Yup. At this point in her academic career, it doesn't matter why she's done it. There's just no way to get from what she's done to deserving a master's.

L&O was doing an OWS storyline, so they built a fake camp--and the real OWS occupied it. I love that.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Somebody tell me I do not need this camera. Alternatively, tell me why I do and validate me.

I don't. I think it's disrespectful.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Did they also discover that the sky is blue?

I was thinking the same thing, Amy, same words and everything. But then I though some more and a lot of recreational opiate users stop smoking pot, from which I had inferred that there wasn't much synergy, so it seems like a more exciting result.

That L&O occupy thing is pretty great.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

She's a master student and she doesn't know how not to plagiarize?

Fail her. And possibly nuke her from orbit.

I can still pull the occasional all-nighter or being out to the wee hours. I'm just not good for much for the next three days. Sigh.

My sun avoidance has stood me in good stead, particularly since I date back to the primitive pre-sunscreen era. Laying out for a tan was the thing to do, but I never lasted longer than about 15 minutes, because I couldn't take the boredom of doing nothing and reading in the sun gave me a headache.
