A house dress is like a Mrs. Roper thing, right? Or no, I also have a picture in my head kind of like the one from ita !'s mom but with a zipper or something down the front.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

mo-VAH-do, to rhyme with Colorado

Heh, not so easy there. Since I've moved here, I hear it pronounced both Col-or-AH-do and Col-or-AD-o.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Allyson is a good egg. Totally agree.

It's been cold lately -- when I took Noah to school, it was 32 degrees. Brrrrrrr. Consequently my house is freezing. If we don't turn the heat on it slips back to about 58 degrees.

In other news, I'm reading Scorpio Races which is YA/Alternate world/Crazy Horse book. Fun!

My mother-in-law loved those, bless her. And in the winter long velour ones that zipped up the front.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Way to go, Allyson.

I am really grateful some days to live near my sister (she's only a mile away), so if I broke my leg or something I would have some support. Means a lot.

I'm glad to hear Allyson's boss is ok! I was voting for going over there for sure! And it's one of the reasons I'm glad I currently have a roommate--no coworkers would miss me for a day or more and couldn't stop in if they were worried.

Oh, well, I mean Movado sounds like avocado, like the va part sounds like bah in bah humbug, and mo and vo are both long o sounds.

It was close to 60 degrees here today. Weird weather. But I'll take it.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I want to wear housedresses. When am I old enough to wear those?

Okay, actually I want to wear muumuus. But the awesome Hawaii kind with all the bright colors.

sarameg - Dec 06, 2011 6:01:30 pm PST #10237 of 30001

Liese, are you all snowed? My parents got nearly 4", and with well below freezing temps, lots of ice on the roads. I-25 was closed from the city limits to Belen (dad was out and has to take surface streets, as they live in Doña Ana.) INSANE.

And we've only had one night barely below freezing so far this winter.
