There is a main drag that goes through Berkeley. While I was in high school it was renamed to Martin Luther King Jr Way. But we all referred to it as the original Grove street. To the point where the city posted signs above the street signs that siad "Old Grove St". I wonder if those are still up. It has been over 25 years and I know people who still call it Grove.

Art Crawl!!!

Is there still an Old York Road and a New York Road in Maryland?

I can't recall if they both went to York, PA or if one went to York, PA and the other went to New York.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Nothing's going to beat lower Manhattan where one street intersects itself.

I think National might do that, but there's a memory wipe and a transdimensional jump also involved. It just...feels really familiar.

They're cloning a woolly mammoth!

I'm torn between "I want one" and "It's like a SyFy Classic movie come to life"!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I wonder if those are still up.

Nope. Locals call it MLKy Way now.

Hec, Eve Salvail.

Point! And she's still very beautiful.

I think I want a pig-sized woolly mammoth.

The locals I know use MLKy Way and Grove pretty interchangeably.

Oh, David, I was waiting for you to answer msbelle's 80s model question from the weekend.
