Gwen: Demon, OK? The whole nine—cloven feet and horns and teeth. He wasn't wearing lamé though. Lorne: Yeah, the evil ones can't pull it off. It gets camp.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Oh my god, I WANT A TRAPPER KEEPER. Every year around this time, the insatiable urge for a Trapper Keeper kicks in.

I don't want a Trapper Keeper. But I DO want a new box of crayons. The big box. And I want new blank books, which is RIDICULOUS, because I have at least four already.

I did buy new fountain pen ink. And now I'm looking for penmanship exercises, because my handwriting is pretty scrawly.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

the back-to-school issue of Seventeen.

Oh man, that thing was the bomb-diggety. It was more than twice as large as the rest of the issues!

As a Catholic school student who wore a uniform every day for 12 years, the back-to-school issue was a little like reading the text of a foreign culture, but I still loved it.

Oooh. Now I want penny loafers.

Compassionately intolerant

A friend just randomly gifted me with the Crayola 120 color box a couple of weeks ago. Being the person that I am, I sorted all the crayons in shade progression and the designed a graph where I colored in the shades over the name of each color.

It's super handy because, to be honest, some of the new colors are kind of weak and very similar. This way, instead of using a scratch test, I can shop for shades on the graph.

Not to be all cranky grandma, but the new wax formula is not as satisfying as the crayons I have from 20+ years ago. Much thinner, less color saturation and some are crumbly.

I've also spent too much time reading about crayon history. Some of the colors they have discontinued just don't make sense. Some of the new ones, less so.

Still. CRAYONS!

I'm nearly finished with my Disney's Robinhood coloring book. That will be a sad day.

Trust my rage

One of the fun things about being a parent is you get to do back to school shopping for your kids. We have new shoes, new clothes, a back pack, soccer gear, and the year's school supplies all sitting in the house waiting for next week.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I once treated myself to the 64-crayon box - with the built-in sharpener.

The nice thing about being an adult? you can buy yourself the cool things your parents wouldn't.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

If it's crayons, colored pencils, or markers you want now is the time to buy them!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have a great love of office supplies myself. When I was a kid I was delighted by reciept forms and guest checks.

Cash, thanks- I will start looking for those models. There are just no 10 year old hatchbacks. I think the people with civics are holding on to them.

ION, my LJ friend has no idea how she banned me.

It's very easy to ban people by accident. I'm pretty sure I've done it.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Tep, I was, to put it bluntly, technically a SPED, so ditto. and ditto. I also liked to giggle at the "embarrassing" TraumaRarma stories in a very "Bitch, please," kind of way.

Because books.

Oh man, that thing was the bomb-diggety. It was more than twice as large as the rest of the issues!

And it smelled like Bonne Bell and Love's Baby Soft.
