Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

We had a good checking in meeting at work today and the only request of me is that I do my internet check in stuff after getting a round of work done and not first thing in the morning (as is my want, over coffee). Easy peasy solution, they want people to take 10-15 min breaks through the day, so they have no issue with checking email and such, just want the work to be first. Understandable as they are paying me. Everything else they are really pleased with, they went line by line through the job listing. I think they are open to looking at health benefit options after I've been there 6 full weeks and they shift me from probation to full-time employee. They were unaware of some of the options that I had already researched and hopefully something will work and I could keep this job working 25-35 hrs/week.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Dear god, I'm so bored. I hate Friday afternoons here, because most of the staff leaves by 4PM, and it's just me and some of the admins. ::yawns::

Well, I have at least oneroused through a couple of letters and emails I was supposed to do. No new news from HR.

ION, it costs as much for me to get my teeth checked & cleaned as it does for my dog to get one extracted & the rest cleaned & get two prescriptions. I suspect there's an inequity there--but at least the dog didn't have to listen to elevator music in the chair.

Oh, great news, msbelle!

I really need to get out of the habit of reading through Google Reader first thing in the AM.

... but I probably won't.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Excellent news, msbelle.

Some new Saints for my craftsy friends.

St. Lucy is apparently the Patron Saint of Knitting now.

Perhaps your hairstylist would appreciate this button.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So, two guys in my stairwell were arguing. One guy asked me to call the police on the other guy--he claimed the other guy was about to break into his apartment (they were both outside the apartment). But the other guy wasn't trying to break in when I was there. So I told the guy to call the cops himself.

The other guy did tell me to tell the cops that they should look for the drugs in the apartment.

Anyway, they both left the building.
