Crouching Tigers.
Crouching Tigers.
There weren't any Bond women in that.
What I love about the Alien movies is that Ripley is badass and no one is surprised. I'm beginning to feel like a crotchety old woman about sex scenes that do not have anything to do with the action. I find myself muttering, "Shouldn't you be boarding up more windows or checking the ammo? You can't wait until you get somewhere safer?"
Yeah, Consuela...this. Even though I still love female ass-kickers, I think it's important to remember that that isn't the only way to have a great female character.

I know. I didn't realize it was only Bond movies being discussed. It's the first place I go to when I see "Michelle Yeoh".

I... think I saw that one. Brosnan, right? I'm afraid I don't remember anything about the plot or Michelle Yeoh being in it.

And 'Let's nuke the entire site from orbit' is really the best plan of action ever uttered in any action movie ever.
It's the only way to be sure.

I was comparing Zoe Saldana's character in The Losers to Bond Girls in terms of uselessness except as sex objects.

Oh, for sure. And it's not a guarantor of a great female character, by any means. Speaking of badass hookers (not that we were), I loathed Sin City pretty heartily. I haven't seen Deadwood, so I can't comment on them.
