"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am not sure if this is what Consuela linked to (I am just catching up and have marked posts, but not read the links), but here is a restatement of privilege and using "real names":

BTW, a commenter about this on boingboing put down an essential truth:

Actual rationale: "Real names" make personalized information more attractive to advertisers.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Ahahahaha! I wouldn't add that doll to my collection, but that's because I don't like baby dolls. I'd much rather have one of Madame Talbot's mourning dolls: [link]

I'm just waiting to see if a SPN analog to the Bella's Womb Woman will try her hand at knitting anatomically correct versions.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But there are no wombs in Supernatural...

information libertarian

Consuela, mr. flea heard today that the efforts of the hiring team to get the pool expanded beyond the initial 3 people referred were successful, and he's been referred as well! So now they can choose to interview him if they want (and boy do I hope they do.) Is this something that could work for your position? From what I understand the boss of the open position asked to have a larger number than 3 referred (I think 5). There was no guarantee that central HR would agree, or that mr. flea would be in the larger pool, but thankfully he made it.

DH still has a job--but has been encouraged to put in for two actuarial jobs in Madison. Apparently, because his skill set is not what his position needs in the long term. This from the company who made an actuary director of marketing. @@@@@@@@
