Oh yeah, been there/done that.

Went with CJ to pick up his Freshman schedule (I'd have sent him alone, but I had to pay his fees). He is very excited to have gotten into Sign Language. He had one period marked "see counselor" so we stood in the longest line evah to talk with a counselor and fill that class slot. Only one class was available that didn't require a full reworking of his other classes - Music Appreciation. Sounds like this will be the dumping ground for any Freshmen without a 5th period class.
I am posting all that because I'm feeling very cranky about being broke and unemployed, and need to remind myself that I *am* being productive, if not gainfully employed.
I am SO with you on that. Yes, we are both being productive!
Music Appreciation
Oh! You should prepare him by having him listen to this P.D.Q. Bach piece "New Horizons in Music Appreciation." It's a classic.

Random updates: My swim times have been for shit the past couple of weeks. Coincidentally, I've lost at least another 5+ lbs. I'm wondering if there is a correlation, or I'm just eating even less than usual due to the heat and slower due to the same.
Mister Kitty's weight has been stable for the past week, only fluctuating by a couple ounces, up and down. And his, erm, output is consistent and not as though his blood sugar is really high. He's still skinny as hell and I'm feeding him extra, but...so far so good. I know I don't have forever. I just have for however long he's happy.
Thanks dcp. I think CJ will be one of the few kids who will actually get something out of the class. The boy has a boxed set of classical composer CDs and has loved listening to them. I think he can name more classical music than I can and I took 3 years of Music History.
Get bigger MK!
We've been told to add 20 ccs to Grace's meals. So we've been adding more. The net result is not weight gain, but more poop.
We had to go to the eye doc for Noah. She was worried that his eyes would be worse -- but they look good -- no need for glasses.
I think Grace is the more typical micropreemie and Noah is a miracle.
temporary weight gain. ijs. t /not helpful
They are both miracles.
Well, yes, they really are....But I'm always surprised when things go okay with Noah.
I just had to reboot my Nook and I now have Ann Patchett's new book as well as one from the library. woot!
