Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
When you have a way long list of to-do, then "doing" and "folding" laundry *can* be clumped together as one. But really? You can (and I frequently do) "do" laundry and just never fold it at all. Thus, two separate, though related, activities.
Like, "run the dishwasher" and "empty the dishwasher." Few misguided souls include the second task as part of the first.
The hardest thing about this heat is there is pretty much no way to get the 5 year old enough exercise. He needs to be run around, hard, to keep from being a jerk, and it's just too hot. I need, like, a giant hamster wheel.
Very separate in our house too. I really should start a load.
Went to karate, then cleaned and vacuumed the public rooms. I really need to spiff up my room, but I don't wanna. Oh, and I'm supposed to clean up the kitchen today also.
With K-Bug moving home, we came up with a weekly rotating list of household chores. It has kept the tension down of who is responsible for what/when.
Separately, school starts for CJ in just over a week. Monday he picks up his schedule and does school pictures. Crazy-cakes.

My bedroom office is a pit. Well, not really a pit, not yet. It's at the tipping place where, if I tackle the desk, the chairs, and the floor under the desk now and hang clothes, put folded (!) laundry away, file papers and put things used and left out away, it can be rescued fairly quickly. If I let it go another day or two it will be much much harder and take longer to sort out, and the downhill slide to OMG I Am A Sloven will be much faster.
But like Suzi, I don'wanna.
I went to skating practice, did and put away all the laundry (which included changing the bed, a task I dislike way out of proportion to how much time it takes). Oh, and watched a lot of Supernanny in between tasks. Tonight I am off to see a movie with my friend Heather. Tomorrow, to the office in the morning, then home to vacuum and clean, then pick up the DH at the airport at 4pm. Yay!
I have done nothing on my todo list. (My entire todo list is "clean house in anticipation (or dread) of my sister's visit.) Instead I am planning to make jam. but I need sugar and don't want to leave the house, because it's raining and I am a wuss. But I just spent about two hours trimming the ends off gooseberries.
I haven't done anything list-related, but oh well. That's what Sunday is for?
