I have done nothing on my todo list. (My entire todo list is "clean house in anticipation (or dread) of my sister's visit.) Instead I am planning to make jam. but I need sugar and don't want to leave the house, because it's raining and I am a wuss. But I just spent about two hours trimming the ends off gooseberries.

I'm so relieved to hear I'm not the only one who does this.
I lost most of the afternoon to a post-hamburger nap, so laundry hanging and working on a personal book for one of my bosses are going to have to wait until tomorrow.

Agreed. It's like filing, but for clothes. What a drag.
I am making Angry Bird cake toppers and I have made 6 red birds, 10 pigs, including one with a crown and two with helmets, and 2 red birds. I have the bomb bird to do next and then I'm DONE. I'm putting them in the freezer until the birthday in September. I used candy clay which is sticky as shit. Maybe fondant would have been better?
