"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I was reading some stuff on NPR and I saw a piece about the mayor of Philly. Did Philly folks really elect a mayor with the last name of Nutter?

Sounds like he is doing good things, but...Nutter?

Ha, right?

This morning I'm meeting a friend for breakfast with her kids. They're stopping through on their way home or going to their vacation house, I'm not sure. Either way, I win, because they're here right now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Though really, 73 year old who rides out a classic italian bike from Colorado? In the summer? During a heat wave? In full gear?Kind of an interesting topic!

Seriously!

Sara, see if he'd go for Ethiopian food and take him to that place. Isn't the train museum right there?

I know this is normal kid behavior, but mac has slept in every day this week, it has taken multiple trips to his room to get him up. And today? Up by himself. I told him it was NOT on and next week he was to get himself up.

The uncle or the guy from the bike shop?

My mom drove me to school on her way to work, but only if I woke her up. Otherwise it was the bus (silly, because it took an hour, and the school was a 15 minute walk) or walking.

Hee, the uncle. I do think Sara should find a bike owner though so she'll have need to visit the shop.

Agreed!

I am super super tired today. itchy and all. We're going to gear up for a bike ride so I should get my butt in going. But man. I'd love just to sleep more.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Errands to run, and HP at night. First I need to shower and dress...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Have you shown him any Honey West yet?

I should, huh? I just discovered a station on cable that shows Route 66, Peter Gunn and The Naked City.

I did show Emmett pictures of Salvador Dali and his ocelot. Wikipedia tells me that Gram Parsons had a pet ocelot when he was growing up too.

hip deep in pie

I just bought ground lamb to feed Clio. At $7/lb, it's cheaper than the lamb-based cat food I bought, so I'll give it a try.
