It's DH's bday, and the Boy watches Cartoon Network, so we have had it on the calendar for 2 weeks.
The animation was good, the storyline was true to my childhood memories. I'd say a pretty good reboot.
But it's definitely written for kids -- not a lot of sly grown-up references like you get in a LOT of today's cartoons, which can really be appreciated by adults and kids.

Wow, Lion-O has ridiculous hair.
Yes, you may well be getting a Thundercats watch-n-post.
The guy playing the kind is the voice of the original Lion-O.

Not since Jon B. went to Theremin Camp has there been such an unabashed display of pure, unapologetic geekery.
And Noodle has reappeared. The power of the laser dot. No way we are getting the collar back on her, but at least she let us give her the anti-biotics. Neither cat seems to be interested in getting too close to any of the humans.
Dana, did you see the Panthro cabaret performance on Jimmy Fallon's show?
And now
Tygra is Lion-O's brother? I am skeptical.
The sword is substantially less phallic than it used to be, so far.
