more visible than The Bieber and the cast of Glee put together.
Maybe we should vote for them!
I feel like Obama is hurting himself a little with people on the left by being so willing to compromise. I mean, he looks reasonable, but the people I know either a) think Obama is a Muslim trying to take over the US, has caused this crisis, are spending the taxpayers money taking expensive vacations and not working and is well on the way to taking the country down or b) are disappointed and angry that that we are still at war, still have DOMA, have a not great healthcare bill, and that it is even possible that things like Social Secutiry are on the table.
For those of you worried about relatives getting older, I can tell you that, from the inside, it's scary. My body doesn't work the way it used to, I have pains that I didn't have before. I can't move as well or as fast as I used to.
And I just got back from the eye doctor; I've faced reality and I'm moving on scheduling cataract surgery.
I feel like Obama is hurting himself a little with people on the left by being so willing to compromise.
I think he's already hurt himself a lot on the left.
About 15 years ago my mother gave me a skirt she wore when I was little. She asked one thing of me: "ita, please don't wear this to work."
Sorry, ma.

More than a little, I think. I'm really not happy with his constant willingness to let the Republicans be shitbags who are damaging this country severely.
Given the 2 candidates in '08, I am not sorry I voted for him. However, I did not vote for him in the primary, and I'm still bitterly disappointed that he was the Democratic candidate.
(1) They're only hurting themselves.
Oh, if only.
On the politics though, I agree on this and your comment on Obama. I've never seen such a bloodbath of self-inflicted wounds, on both sides. If we weren't all collateral damage, it'd be kind of entertaining.
Seconding all the outrage on Kat's and Hec's behalf. Is 2011 the year of the Tino or something?
Lots of Americans just don't realize what's going on with the debt ceiling, so this will hurt Obama too.
I mean, a few days ago CNN had a headline about how neither side was compromising.
Um... the Obama has been bending over backwards to compromise... I think he even did a backflip so he could bend over backwards some more. His position was
to the right of most Republicans.
I'm really not happy with his constant willingness to let the Republicans be shitbags who are damaging this country severely.
I'm not either. I understand it's tough to negotiate with people who apparently don't give a shit, but it sure seems like he should fight a little harder for all that stuff he talked about when campaigning.
Obama may, but it's the congressional democrats who actually have to agree.
