You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

IKEA opened their first store in Colorado

I'm betting a nickel that huge sign that looms over I-25 doesn't hold up against the winter's west winds.

Hah! We will see. The building is quite obvious from a distance without the freeway sign. I'm just surprised they still need traffic control help on Day 3.

I am pretty sure a letter needs to be written to the head of that office, with cc's to the President of the University, any office that serves students with disabilities, any professor on campus with a disability, her Doctors, and possibly any handicap advocacy groups in LA and possibly media.

you know, I'm not super busy right now . . .

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You might want to hide the videos of Grace running around and take some extra-pathetic pictures before you go to the media. Just a thought.....

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

So this is my last bit on this...

I had a student this year who was admitted to UCLA and also to USC. He is in a wheelchair with MD. He was getting big financial aid packages to both and I kept saying, pick USC. It's not a better school, but it's more manageable in terms of disability services.

AND HOW.

If we lived in a rainier place, I'd want to get batman boots for N & G and ita! Also how cute is the batman dress?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I want the Bat boots for me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The Batman dress is marvellous. I have to spit at the pink Batgirl outfit, despite liking both pink and Batgirl. Just, no.

Uncle arrived, we bought him a new phone (#3) and had Thai food. He wants to see Ft McHenry, so we'll probably do that tomorrow. And get him a crabcake.

Saturday, my cousin is coming over with the kids and we'll probably do a late lunch/early dinner. I'd like to do Clementine, but the timing might be off.

Also, to date we've raised over a grand for my friends and their housemate who were robbed. I'd hoped for a little more, but this is good, and more cash may come in before the deadline tomorrow. Unfortunately, I won't be there, but that's ok.That we did it and got support from a wide range of folks, some of whom don't know the collectors, is awesome. And some people really amazed me with their generosity. I mean, SRSLY?!

Also, my uncle's bike? It's a two tone blue Moto Guzzi , older model. [link] I post this specifically for Scrappy's J.
