Granted, Grace walks and runs now and we have developed a system for her machinery (which is the other reason that DP parking is at times necessary for us), but I'm so angry about the confiscation!
I'm still shocked they took your handicap pass--I mean, if it were a school one, maybe I could see that, but a state one?!?! Seriously!? They'd better be keeping it at the office to give back to you tomorrow when you get the ticket taken away (which it better be). Or some serious buffista wrath will be in effect.
Nope, meara. The shred them. When Katie went to the office she was told no matter what, even if they were at fault, that they would not be returning the pass and I'd have to reapply for it. Conveniently, we'll be out of town for a month.

I am pretty sure a letter needs to be written to the head of that office, with cc's to the President of the University, any office that serves students with disabilities, any professor on campus with a disability, her Doctors, and possibly any handicap advocacy groups in LA and possibly media.
Also? despite being super tired all week and having BIZARRO dreams (talking dogs, my house being part museum...) I am actually being fairly productive at home. I fixed my composter which had been off its stand for months, have done laundry and washed dishes the last two days, and I will probably get my most recent ebay sales ready for mailing out (I am managing to sell $25 of stuff a month thus far.). I might even get some muffins or biscuits baked.
