We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

smonster, that first bag looks really promising.

Kewl.

Kat, I continue to be appalled. If their parking is anything like the university I used to work at, they'll waive it faster than you can say boo to a goose. And I would think their names should be attached to the ticket.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Wow, Kat, that's awful. Good luck with it.

giraffe mode

Kat I just did a quick look through the CA Vehicle Code and I don't see "proximity of the disabled person" is listed as a requirement. So I call bullshit!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Kat--that can't be legal, can it? I mean, jeez.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Ooh, I think we would! That sounds awesome, and the Groupon makes it even better. Thank you! I'm assuming you don't need to know the specific date/time of the tour you want when you buy the Groupon, right?

Nope -- the Groupon has to be used before September 20-something, and your visit is before then. For the actual tour, we just have to figure out when we want to go and then I make reservations for the specific day and time.

Also, can I PayPal you the money now, or should I send you a check?

Well, it's only $20 for both of you, so we can always work it out when you get here. It's not a big deal.

I've wanted to do this tour for a while now, so I'm all excited!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I've wanted to do this tour for a while now, so I'm all excited!

Yay! It sounds super cool. Thanks for letting me know about it!

For the actual tour, we just have to figure out when we want to go and then I make reservations for the specific day and time.

OK, cool. I'm guessing Saturday afternoon, but Sunday morning might be an option too, unless your friend's party starts early. I can probably let you know in the next week or two what'll work best for us. edit: Do you know what times would be best for you & Tim?

Woo Cincy visit!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Kat I just did a quick look through the CA Vehicle Code and I don't see "proximity of the disabled person" is listed as a requirement. So I call bullshit!

Really?

If it's anything like here, they're recently really cracking down on people abusing handicap placards - like, your shut-in grandmother has a placard but never drives (or has been dead for four years, or whatev), so you cruise around parking in handicap spots all over the place. There've been a bunch of big sting operations. If the person with the impediment is not there, you are not allowed to use the spaces, so it's a reasonable standard. BUT, not there (because they're at home watching a movie) and not there (because you're meeting them or waiting to pick them up) are quite different things.

That said, it's shitty as hell that Kat got caught up in it and the people were so unreasonable, and I really hope you get a good resolution.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah. 16 years ago in San Francisco, you got a $850 fine and automatic forfeiture of a handicapped placard if you parked in a handicap spot without the handicapped person with you.

Dunno anything about if the handicapped person meets you there after you parked.
