Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

but I'm going to attribute that diff to different scales and establish this as the household baseline.

Good plan. It's not the exact number so much as the general trend information that I end up needing.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I am so totally putting the kitten in a bowl on the kitchen scale just as soon as he gets here. Just because I can.

Be prepared for a seriously judging look. MK is SOOO laid back. But this was beyond his ken.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am on vacation! I still have several hours of stuff to do, like pack, and I have to be up at 4:30, and the cat sitter forgot to tell me how much I should leave her, but still, Vacation!

And I get to see Cashmere and Plei tomorrow!

Hey, where's a good place for me to buy a less small than small black leather backpack I can use for work and around?

Wilson's leather, maybe?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Getting back to karate was great. Only did 30 minutes, but it was a good workout.

Then I ran home to shower and pretty up for my date.

We met at a brewery and I actually drank a beer (very rare event for me). We hit it off well but I wasn't sure if he was into me. We just had our beers and then got back to our cars before the meters ran out. I got a hug good bye and started the drive home feeling bummed that we didn't even have dinner and there was no mention of "talk to you later.

To drown my sorrows, I met up with K-Bug for sushi. As we sat down, I got a text from the guy. We exchanged a few messages that ended with me telling him to have a sweaty good time (he was heading off to work out). So, that is a good sign, right?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I don't want to watch shows that make me cry. I've done enough crying for one life. What's the point, anyway? Catharsis? It's awful.

About 17 years ago I briefly dated a woman who subscribed to the belief that regular bouts of crying were good for you, so you should intentionally make yourself cry periodically. About two times a day in her case.

Perhaps I could use a good cry about now. I just feel really stressed out for some reason, and maybe some of the stress would go away if I had a good cry.

edit for math error.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

sarameg,

did you speak to Target personnel? You really need something for your trouble. That's terrible.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

So, that is a good sign, right?

Definitely.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I find that a "good cry" is great for relieving stress, especially stress of the free-floating anxiety type. But I can cry pretty much by deciding to. Being made to cry by something like a movie when I wasn't expecting or wanting it is unpleasant and leaves me feeling wiped out but not relaxed.

Making herself cry twice a day? Jeepers. I can't help thinking she had some serious unresolved trauma.
