Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I love our neighborhood. It's the Cincinnati kindred-spirit neighborhood of sarameg's.

Aw, that's awesome. Good neighbors are totally happy-making.

And that reminds me, Steph, M and I may be spending a night in Cincinnati over Labor Day weekend. We're taking a little road trip to celebrate our first anniversary, and we're thinking of hitting up Louisville, KY one night and then Cincy the next, partly so that we can finally visit the Creation Museum. ( [link] ) So my questions are: (1) What should we definitely not miss in Cincinnati? And (2), is there any chance you and Tim would be around and want to get dinner with us?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I think the (!!!) should go after 20 years! OMG!

I'll be having my 20th anniversary here next year (November). I cannot believe I've been here that long.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, you guys -- I've never hit five years anywhere.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Sometimes I wish I could hire Kathleen Hanna to go out and punch misogynists in the face.

There's a video game in there, somewhere.

Isn't there one of throwing rocks at boys? Although it doesn't distinguish between the good and bad kinds of boys, IIRC.

I need to stop reading the internets.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

M and I may be spending a night in Cincinnati over Labor Day weekend.

Woo!!!

We're taking a little road trip to celebrate our first anniversary, and we're thinking of hitting up Louisville, KY one night and then Cincy the next, partly so that we can finally visit the Creation Museum. ( [link] )

Heh. I haven't been there because I don't want to give them my money, but I hear that it is something else. I would probably get kicked out for laughing anyway.

So my questions are: (1) What should we definitely not miss in Cincinnati? And (2), is there any chance you and Tim would be around and want to get dinner with us?

Well, #1 is tough -- it really depends on what you really dig. There will be a TON of stuff going on that weekend, because there's a huge festival on the riverfront on that Sunday (Sept. 4), with an enormous (30+ minutes) firework show when it gets dark. Huge, like half a million people. Literally.

#2 -- We'll be around that weekend, definitely. I know we aren't available on Sunday (not because of Riverfest -- 500,000 people is enough to make me have an embolism -- but because one of our friends is having a Labor Day shindig). I definitely want to get dinner if it's at all possible!

Now tagless for your comfort.

I googled anyway. Ouch. Much recovery~ma, Hayden!

Me, too! *shudder* Much recovery~ma, Hayden!

Amy, my uncle died two days ago, as well. Not surprised since he was 87. But my dad is seriously depressed about it. It's his last brother and it's hitting him really hard. Last year, another brother was diagnosed with severe Alzheimer's and ended up committing suicide a month or so later. It's not been a good year for Dad.

I'm getting ready to go to Vegas and I am not even remotely packed. Even though it's roller derby so all I really need are tights, tanks and socks and my skates.

Too much to do and not enough packed!!!!!
