When we landed here you said you needed a few days to get space worthy again and is there somethin' wrong with your bunk?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I terrified the baby vacuuming the living room, and then cleaned one bathroom while she napped. At some point I need to go out and buy charcoal so I can actually cook the burgers we have planned.

I have also discovered an advantage (other than price) of renting our Canada car in NJ - the rental place is in a mall with a grocery store and a Target, so any last minute stuff I need can be bought and driven home right there.

On a totally other topic, I think I need new kitchen cabinets. (I can't take the advice of every home improvement blog ever and just replace the knobs to change the look - the look is not my problem. My problem is that the bottoms of all the drawers keep falling out.) Maybe there's a way to just replace the drawers...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My parents just replaced their cabinet fronts and some of the drawers, so that exists, at least.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I terrified the baby vacuuming the living room, and then cleaned one bathroom while she napped.

You're sure no one replaced her with a cat, right?

Art Crawl!!!

tommyrot - I sent a link of the story about your son's great catch to my brother who is the fisherman in my family and I am sure will appreciate it as he was also pretty fishing obsessed at that age.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

And now that I'm showered and clean, my sister is back, intending to destroy a wasp's nest she discovered. Holy crap. Wish us luck. She cannot be talked out of these things.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Wasps 0: Raid 1. Nest destroyed, electrical box wasp-free and closed up again. Someone had knocked the cover from the box and wasps had taken up residence. This was behind a huge shrub and so I hadn't noticed it. My electrical system miraculously survived the invasion and exposure to the elements.

Now I'm hot and sweaty and itchy again and I need another shower. I am just not the outdoorsy type.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So apparently the mass-murderer in Norway plagiarized the Unibomber's manifesto--he just ran a search-and-replace on a bunch of words, so he could condemn multiculturalism instead of "leftism".

That's so pathetic.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

'Suela, Oh really? Damn. He killed more people though, so I guess that's where he has a sense of accomplishment.
