I suck about spending money, duh, I started this whole conversation. The problems are:
I am not used to NOT having money to the degree that I do not have it now.
I spend little money on little things all the time.
I am not disciplined on tracking spending.
I still have savings which do not want to plow through, but that also is buffering my reality.
I need to see if I can use mint in some of the ways megan described, especially for tracking my cash spending.
I am entering a pile of receipts into mint right now, so my budget reality for the month is about to get a little worse. It looks like I am spending at least $800/mo more than I am bringing in. Way to much to cover by any of the little means I have to bring in a few bucks, so I have to cut out some major expenditures to get that down.
LISAH! How was your trip?
Loki made getoutoftherecat with one of y'alls (I am momentarily forgetting the boardname!) caption! [link]
I am such a dork.
I think it was Steph! Because I saw that earlier and thought it looked familiar!
There was a concert in the Park tonight, I went for part of it. I wasn't sure I'd like the band, but it was a cool blue grass band and they played some originals as well as some covers.
Tomorrow is the Farmer's Market and across from there a street is going to be shut down for a classic car show. Hopefully it won't be so hot tomorrow.
Loki looks appropriately peeved.
We have creamsicles! I am SO happy.
Gah. It hit 106 at the airport and 108 downtown. Those are officially recordbreaking.
I was interrupting his fun of banging the cabinet door.
msbelle, are you still paying COBRA for health insurance? Because that is a budget-killer. A job with benefits would help a lot, if you don't have one now.
