Now tagless for your comfort.

Someone call Willow. They just walked back into the yard and plopped down on the grass.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I drank my fiber supplement and topped it with a bowl of raisin bran and strawberries. I'm fiber full.

Lunch will be...something else full of fiber. Maybe a corduroy suit.

EM's mother died so she's been back on the East Coast and I've been trying to keep Emmett occupied. On Sunday morning he went over to Arlo's house (one of his baseball friends) and had French Toast with their family. Wound up hanging out all day, going to see HP7.2, spending the night, then going with Arlo to his mom's apartment, swimming all day and then watching The Dark Knight.

Then a baseball scrimmage on Tuesday, and yesterday I dropped him off with his one SF friend, Jake (who tore up his knee skateboarding); so they played video games all day and watched Archer on Netflix. Today we'll trot to the East Bay and I'll give him some alone time with his PS2, then another baseball practice. Tomorrow he'll do Krav at noon and then another baseball practice.

Saturday we've got a tournament Fremont, and three games in one day. That's a lot of freakin' baseball for one day (7+ hours). Then more baseball Sunday morning.

That's actually a pretty good week in the summertime, I think.

Next week he's going back to NYC to spend some more time with his Mom while she sorts through her mother's stuff.

Now I've just got to straighten out Matilda's aftercare because her school starts August 15th! Sheesh.

Probably not for long, though.

ION, Ugh. Somebody tell me stop looking at the weather listings on the interwebs. I'm dreading going home tonight.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am sort of regretting having taken tomorrow off, since my house is hotter than hell in the best of circumstances. I think I'll go to the movies, and possibly the mall. I wish I were more excited about Captain America, because there isn't really a movie I'm super psyched to see tomorrow.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The reports of a heatwave are all just liberal government propaganda designed to trick us into believing in global warming.

At least that's what Limbaugh says. (Actually, he said that about the heat index.)

Clearly you need to go see Friends With Benefits. Because I'm hoping it'll be better than the Ashton/Natalie one of the same plot.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Because I'm hoping it'll be better than the Ashton/Natalie one of the same plot.

Statistically speaking, worse would be hard.

I am totally psyched about Captain America. Chris Evans has me wibbly.

Man, I feel so bad for y'all. I'd send you some of our cooler weather if I could.

Me, I could do with it being about three degrees warming in my cubicle.
