Buffy? I like that. That girl's so hot, she's buffy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

In the pink? Pretty!

Yes! I do feel prettily turned out today. But I should have worn ballet flats, dammit. What was I thinking?

Because I have a million petty things to whine about in order to distract me from a) my headache b) my work, why do my nails have to grow so freaking fast? I spend my life trimming them.

Ryan Gosling isn't my type either, but then there was that tumblr, and I think I got brainwashed.

Because books.

I can't wear flats like that. My feet are too wide and they never fit right. Sandals are okay, if they're not too strappy.

I have a million things to do today instead of whining, or posting, or absently watching TV. Doing them seems to be the obstacle so far.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am wearing one of my Threadless shirts featuring a rocket today in honor of the Shuttle. It is the most casual I have dressed at the new job and they seem fine with it. Happy cakes. She said today she is very happy with how things are going two weeks in.

Today I am transcribing audio tapes of work orders for lawn care. The plant names trip me up, but otherwise it goes pretty fast.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

We just got a message that the air conditioning has been turned off in our building in order to give more power to the medical center. This should be fun.

I'm usually too cold for sandals. Especially at work.

Okay. Down to it. Gotta find those emails and compile the information. Dammit.

Someone call Willow. They just walked back into the yard and plopped down on the grass.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I drank my fiber supplement and topped it with a bowl of raisin bran and strawberries. I'm fiber full.

Lunch will be...something else full of fiber. Maybe a corduroy suit.

EM's mother died so she's been back on the East Coast and I've been trying to keep Emmett occupied. On Sunday morning he went over to Arlo's house (one of his baseball friends) and had French Toast with their family. Wound up hanging out all day, going to see HP7.2, spending the night, then going with Arlo to his mom's apartment, swimming all day and then watching The Dark Knight.

Then a baseball scrimmage on Tuesday, and yesterday I dropped him off with his one SF friend, Jake (who tore up his knee skateboarding); so they played video games all day and watched Archer on Netflix. Today we'll trot to the East Bay and I'll give him some alone time with his PS2, then another baseball practice. Tomorrow he'll do Krav at noon and then another baseball practice.

Saturday we've got a tournament Fremont, and three games in one day. That's a lot of freakin' baseball for one day (7+ hours). Then more baseball Sunday morning.

That's actually a pretty good week in the summertime, I think.

Next week he's going back to NYC to spend some more time with his Mom while she sorts through her mother's stuff.

Now I've just got to straighten out Matilda's aftercare because her school starts August 15th! Sheesh.
