re: Murdoch and pie.
I am ambivalent about the act in general. I do know a whole lot of other people have had pies on them, attempted pies on them, so given that standard he probably was as deserving as the others.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

man, I love that dog!
Wee but fierce.
I must be getting lame in my old age because hitting an 80 y.o. in the face with a pie doesn't sound like fun, even if it is the so-incredibly-deserving-of-a-shit-pie Rupert Murdoch.
As a foil plate full of shaving cream is unlikely to have caused any actual injury, I can't bring myself to feel too sorry about it.
Apparently Murdoch's wife clocked the assailant. Which, you know, is kind of cool.
"Never bring a pie to a fistfight"?
Surgery~ma for Grace
I suspect that with Murdoch as well as Cheney, their paramount Evil keeps them alive despite any pies or random heart attacks.
What does anyone know about ING Savings accounts? I like that there's no minimum and no fee, and that it would electronically connect to my biz account.
I would start an account at my bank but the interest rate is sucks, there's a fee and you have to have a minimum bal of $100. And THIS account I'm starting to save for my quarterly taxes, so it will be cleaned out 4x a year.
Thoughts? Other options? I CAN'T keep it in my account; I KNOW myself. It has to be AWAY.
I can't bring myself to feel too sorry about it.
I don't feel sorry about it. I just didn't feel "Woo Hoo" about it either.
For Cheney, what I'd really like, is video of him exiting an airplane slipping on the steps and falling down them in a completely ignomious way and breaking his coccyx. As I've broken my coccyx I know exactly how much that hurts and I feel comfortable wishing that amount of pain and discomfort on him for six weeks.
Erin,
Note that ING has been purchased by Capital One, so this may or may not factor into your decisions. I don't think C1 will take over until 2012 or so though.
I like ING, I find it really convenient. It is an ideal bank if you do not think you will need to contact customer service very often - which I don't. My paycheck gets deposited there and I have several savings account there (and a mortgage!).
I would probably still advise you to try it. Do you need an invitation? I think it will get you $10 for me and you if you use it.
Email me at my profile addy if you want a referral. I need your email address. If you don't want, that's cool too. Just FYI.
