Because books.

"Rolling in the Deep" was *everywhere* for a while, and as awesome as it is, I got a little tired of it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Except in my house, AFAICT. But this is the superpower that means I've only heard one Bieber song, so I'm pretty okay with it.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm with you, ita. I only heard Adele for the first time when my niece made me listen on a road-trip. I mostly listen to the news on the radio, and use my iPod for music.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

"Rolling in the Deep" was *everywhere* for a while, and as awesome as it is, I got a little tired of it.

I don't really listen to the radio, so I didn't get supersaturated. Here you go, ita - here's the song and video, if you're in the mood. [link]

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I still have no idea who you are all talking about.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I first saw Adele on Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Half of what I know about popular music, especially British popular music, is because of people who are either on Buzzcocks or made fun of on Buzzcocks.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

My favorite is "Rumor Has It"

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

But this is the superpower that means I've only heard one Bieber song, so I'm pretty okay with it.

I don't think I've even heard one.

But I bought one of his nail polishes. It's sparkly and purple and I don't even feel much shame about it any longer. Wearing that, I can outsparkle a dewy, virgin vampire.

But I've never heard his music and I'm good with that.

It's a D/C vid, and it was worth it. I just watched it again, and my face hurts from the dumb grin.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

So it looks like we got at least 7 inches of rain in an hour and 45 minutes this morning. Here's a slide show of the flooding [link] I stopped complaining about a few inches of water in my car after I saw the pictures from the Westbank. The pictures of the Garden District are about what I was experiencing/driving through.
