Oh! I forgot to tell you all the end of the catsitting saga! Recall a couple weeks ago, when my neighbors were out of town, they hired a catsitter for the first two weeks, and asked me to watch them the last week? And when I went to get into the house, there was no key, and I had to call a locksmith to get me in, and the cats were really hungry and clearly no one had been there for a couple days? Yeah.
So. The day before my neighbors K. & B. were to return, the key, which had disappeared, reappeared in its assigned place. K. came over the next day, bringing me a present she got me in Spain, and told me that she'd only gotten my messages when they were on the way home from the airport, but the key was there and maybe I'd forgotten where they said it would be? I explained that no, indeed, the key had been gone, and had only been put back the day before. I handed her the locksmith's invoice. She then told me that B. had gotten a voicemail from the catsitter (a "friend" of his) the morning of the day the key reappeared, asking if they were home yet. It became clear what happened: the guy put their key on his keyring, forgot about it after he left the last time, realized his mistake the day before they were to get back, called them to see if they were home (to discover his mistake), and when they weren't, quickly went and put the key where it should be so they wouldn't find out. Hopefully he checked on the cats when he did that.
K. was FURIOUS. She paid me for the locksmith immediately and was very grateful that I'd gotten myself in to check on them. I suspect she reamed the guy a new large one. The cats would have been a week without food!
I have some Zoya to put in the box! Of course, I am last on the list.
Brunch was awesome, but like Megan Walker, I am rather burnt, and I suspect I may get bitched at by my doctor on Tuesday.
Juliana and I had mani-pedis after, and now I am wearing one of her Zoyas on my fingernails, and she let me take it home.

Are you way more susceptible to sun now? I know P is. Of course she uses that new superpower to tan...
I have polish for the box but I don't think I need to do more than contribute. Should I do a list and email it to the box group or just send stuff to you, Perkins?
I am double Zoya'd currently. Irene on my toes and Shivon (for a not startling color, it really looks amazing with my coloring) on my fingers.
Damn, Zen. Good thing you did what you did when you did.
I'm not buying the polish. I just had to post that "out loud" so I could see how ridic it was.

Not any more, really, but I still try to avoid it, just in case.

Cashmere has the box now, and it is going to Anne next, so maybe send it to one of them?
I'm interested in getting back on the list, if possible!
I've spent the whole day just exhausted. I slept in this morning, finally got up to start cleaning my apartment (Dad was coming up at noon), realized I didn't have either the energy or the time to go to the pool for either my mile swim or for my half-hour lesson, so I just called to let him know I'll be there next week. I got almost everything clean, including consolidating my books from one bookshelf I had in my hallway onto one in my living room, so Dad and I could take it and a printer stand to Goodwill (while Dad was there with his pickup truck).
I also took a big Rubbermaid bin into the bathroom and completely emptied out the sink cabinet. It is completely full!!! I have so many little sample things I haven't even looked at in years--they're all going to the dumpster in the morning. I really should clean that thing out more often than every five years.
I took a brief 20-minute nap towards the end of Dad's visit, and have had a lingering headache ever since I woke up at 4:30. I'm going to bed early tonight, and will delay dyeing my hair for another day.

Eeeeeeee!!!!

Of course!
I feel like I never see you all!! I miss it here.
Jesse, embrace TV shows on DVD - for serious, see if your library has them or somesuch. I need to pick FNL back up. I drop it sometime season 3, I think.
I have been recording old Criminal Minds (Ion) and Grey's Anatomy ( 11pm on the ABC affiliate, I think). Catching good stuff that I missed along the way. Never saw the VanderBeek CM - YIKES! or the Morgan backstory one. ON GA, I had stopped watching before the Yang/Owen stuff - goodtimes.
You people who have cool weather, I don't even know if jealous covers it. I was out mowing yesterday by 7:30am and it was already 85 and quickly rising. It's been 100 or over for 2 full weeks, and it was barely under the few days before that. June was the hottest on record since 1980 (when I also lived in TX and remember that year well). It's 8:20 now and 97.
I've been reading again, after a brief hiatus - Up to 16 book thus far this year and I listened to one book on tape.
I kinda od'd on movies this weekend, nothing actually at a theater, but I watched 3 DVDs - that's 30 movies so far this year.
Now I need to go to bed so I can be up before it is scorching hot and maybe do a wee bit of yard work trimming bushes.
