Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.
Jeepers. I was having a silly conversation with the brother of my BFF on Facebook. (I haven't seen him in 25 years and have rarely even spoken to him on Facebook, so this is not in any way an actual relationship.) He was spouting feel-good aphorisms and I was playing cynical Devil's advocate. This morning I get a long message from him that he "doesn't need all this negativity from me" and he had a crush on me since high school and he would still like believe I'm that girl who can conquer the world. I responded (carefully) that I was just messing around, I didn't think either of us were taking it seriously, and I didn't mean to upset him. Then he wrote back breezily that it's fine, he just wants me to be happy. FFS. I need to get a drink and ask G. if her brother's love life has imploded or something.
Why are people so weird?

Aurelia! I'm so sorry. I've been pretty bad with Words With Friends in general, but I just realised your games don't show up on my phone, which is where I do most of my playing. For some reason, I only see them on my iPod, and I only just whipped that out to clear out the queue just now.
It's also missing one game with you, Jess. Man, that code is crap.
I'm having a game-ending headache right now. Had to cut errands short. Especially grocery shopping, in case I puked in their aisles. Of course the bagger wants to flirt with me today....no, sir. Nothing personal.
I really need to hydrate as much as possible, and I totally should pick up those ADs from the grocery. But hydration and rest are more important. ADs on Monday. Liquids now.

This morning it was pretty cloudy, but it turned into a nice day while I was doing my laundry so now I am sitting out on the balcony with some TJs lemonade with just a wee bit of sweet tea vodka in it and ignoring the part where I put the laundry away.

Sweet tea vodka! I don't like sweet tea, but the vodka, mixed with lemonade and cran is AWESOME!
My mom got me an early bday present -- you know those drink dispenser with a spigot that you see everywhere now? On of those, and it's got a chamber for ice, so the drink won't get diluted and a chamber to stick lemons or mint or whatever solid thing you want to infuse the drink with.
GOOD JOB, MOM!
And I got peacock feather earrings, which I have been lusting for.
And Dan and I have decided to buy each other a color Nook for our birthdays. Not two, just one to share...and yeah, he knows I'll monopolize it a lot. I'm very excited!
