Got into an accident. Wasn't my fault. He was taking a left turn across me, we both had the green, he chose to go while I was still driving. My car looks dinged, his doesn't. I didn't get his number because I didn't want to get into the "I know it's your fault, want me to not involve insurance?" discussion, because I didn't want to have the fault discussion. But he was turning left across me. So, not my fault.
I haven't decided if I want to levy a claim against him. My insurance already agrees I'm blameless.
Mostly my head hurts and I want to lie down.
Blergh, ita. As if you needed things to make your head hurt. Glad it wasn't more serious.
Last week I fell asleep in traffic and rear-ended someone. I didn't really see much damage beyond some barely visible scratches that were already there, for all I knew. We exchanged business cards, but he hasn't contacted me yet, so I'm hoping that by the time he got home, he decided it wasn't worth causing a fuss over. Or he's having his people see how much it costs before he asks me for $700 or whatever.
Ugh. Car accidents are always a giant pain in the ass one way or another.
oh dear ita, I am against car accidents, even ones that aren't your fault. Always a pain, as Amy notes.
SRSLY
I kind of threw a hissy fit at the IT guy the other day because I was tired of things not working so now I have a new to me rebuilt computer and all my settings are gone and I have a new version of Firefox and now I feel all old and I DON'T LIKE CHANGEy.
It's Friday though! What are people doing this weekend?
I'm going to stretch class and wishing I was going to HP. Not sure when that will happen, need to set up a date night.
Probably beach tomorrow, then freelance work, making my grandmother's now-traditional birthday raspberry pie, and misc. home stuff.
It's going to be wonderfully cool tomorrow (high of 80!!) so I will go outside and garden! And the local art cinema is doing a Looney Tunes matinee. And library, groceries, laundry, etc.
HP tonight,
Twelfth Night
tomorrow afternoon,
possibly
When Harry Met Sally
in Union Square tomorrow night (I've never seen it), rehearsal on Sunday, freaking out about Comic-Con.
