And... over!

Spoilers: France apparently out-played the US for 2/3 of the game, but the US came back in the last 20 minutes and won 3-1. US is in the World Cup Finals for the 3rd time.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Bleargh. I just spilled a whole bunch of oil from one of those noodle bowls on my shirt. I smell like garlic oil now. And it shows big time since it's a dark shirt. Meh.

ION, work is still going well. They want me to take on some new marketing efforts and it taps into my long ago used skills as a fundraiser (organizing address lists, ranking potential customers, writing appeal letters, brochure and web designs, messaging....). They have a pink Sharpie at my desk also, so I think they are keepers.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My office's power is still out. I called my boss and was telling her how frustrated I was getting with not being able to get things done, and then I mentioned that maybe I could update stuff on our intranet if I could access it from my home computer. Turns out I can! (Me and my big mouth.)

So, after I get back from the grocery store for a restock of my fridge and freezer, I'm going to start working on updating our chapter number lists, which I've been getting behind on this past week due to working on something I cannot access from home. I'll put in four hours today, and then if the power is still out at the office tomorrow, another eight hours then. I'm still going to take the half-day I was planning on taking Friday afternoon, though, so I can get my car fixed up before seeing HP7.2.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I agree with Trinny and Susannah more than most fashion people about shape, but NSM about colour. But I am severely limited in the colour realm. I lack imagination when it comes to colour mixing, unless it's pre-done for me in a pattern.

This is why I love their book with color charts (which admittedly do not represent well on the web). They got me to try combos I never would have, but actually work quite well. But as a mid-tone/summer, I don't wear white or black very well.

I admit, I am wearing brick red shorts. In days past I have worn them with a rust orange shirt.

Trinny & Susannah would be so proud. If the brick is on the brown burgundy side of the spectrum, they would say orange first. The tobacco is more of an orange/yellow brown in the book than it looks on that site.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Anyone that thinks red and black are a bad mix are probably suggesting colour combinations that are not an expansion of my style, but more likely just not my style. I want to enhance, not change. I like what style I have. I just want more. And certainly not less. So far I disagree with most of what I remember them saying.

Jesse, has this been posted at goodstuff? It's old, so I don't remember.
