You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

God, I hated that. Such a foul strawmanning of feminism, because they had to make it clear that Veronica wasn't actually a feminist, because "real" feminists do shit like that.

Yes, exactly!!!!

I just posted a picture of Jilli in an argument. Had to defend girliness.

Wow, ita, I commend you on your patience with that discussion. I think I sprained my eyeballs reading it. Of course, maybe they're just young? I was super anti-girly until I had it pointed out to me that that attitude was buying into a culture that devalues the feminine.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

what are fang caps?

Removable prosthetic fang teeth, made from dental acrylic and custom-fitted to one's teeth. They just slip on over one's teeth, look completely natural, and stay on securely.

I've had at least one set in my possession for the past 20 years, because I AM that cliché.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

thank you Jilli!

That is the kind of thing that one cannot google properly for fear of all kinds of inappropriate photos and content.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Nifty swag bags, though I have no intention of ever going to SDCC. (Crowded beyond my tolerance for crowds, for one thing.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Of course, maybe they're just young?

How can you not have met one decent feminine person? Or did you just decide girly girl means those women, you know, the ones you don't like, the ones that are useless, and there's no misogyny in that at all, nosirree.

Jezebel had an article about someone bitching about an eight year old kickboxing girl, and sure enough, someone was bitching that her gloves were pink. A 6' 275lb woman piped up that she liked to hit people while she was wearing pink, and I couldn't have been more pleased.

I saw the cutest little boy yesterday. He was pushing a pink stroller with a baby doll strapped into it. Adorbs.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Or they're people that the "girly girls" don't give the appropriate reaction and attention to.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I am waiting for the contractor to come pick up something. I know, were I to go to the bathroom or start making food or start a load of laundry, he would choose that moment to show up.

Also, I have iTunes going on shuffle. What are the odds that he'll arrive just as something really odd pops up? (Just finished: "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?")

But "girly girls" are just people with a spectrum of reactions. Which is kinda the point. Nobody who wore makeup was ever nice to them? Ever? Seriously? Could ever win their respect?
