Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I also never understood the "no fading"- does that mean they all have to be an indigo wash, or are solid color lighter blue jeans OK?

I remember getting dinged at work (but only in a review, not ever talked to about it) for wearing chambray pants when denim was not allowed. It was the 90's and they were palazzo pants. They also dinged me for wearing a Shurfine coat when I was cold (the customer service desk was near the entrance and exit). The funniest thing was that the person who had to give my review told me that she was told my the store manager to put those things in because they did not want to give me a big raise, because I had worked there so long and was making "too much" so they had to come up with something! They should have gone with the fact that I read magazines under the counter and then put them back!

Art Crawl!!!

They couldn't get you for that - I have to believe that everyone who works at a bookstore does that. . .not that I would know or anything.

Video of a bookstore getting ready to open.

Art Crawl!!!

Oats:

Sam Troughton who is playing Romeo in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Romeo and Juliet (but maybe better known to some of us as "Much" from the most recent BBC Robin Hood) - has been injured during a matinee performance.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

ION, something to amuse folks:

I went and got new fang caps yesterday. I am sitting here in bloomers, an Emilie Autumn shirt that says "Are You Suffering?" (it's a catchphrase of hers), no makeup, glasses, hair pulled back, and my fangs. Drinking coffee, because I need to darken them slightly, and Victor the Fangmaker reminded me that the best way to do that is to drink a couple of cups of coffee while wearing them. I am ridiculous, and this is probably why my friend Libby refers to me as "the ultimate in Stereotype Technology".

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I remember getting dinged at work (but only in a review, not ever talked to about it) for wearing chambray pants when denim was not allowed.

Heh. I had to give a minion a Talking-To about her denim trousers semi-recently. But not in a review!!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Damn, shopping for a new car with good fuel economy sucks. I just called a Honda dealership and asked about the Insight (a hybrid that's like a Prius, but cheaper). They didn't have any in stock and said they wouldn't get more for two or three months.

And most Ford dealerships near me are completely out of the Fiesta and the 2012 Focus.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Jilli,

what are fang caps?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

tommyrot, be aware that if you buy a hybrid, your IMA battery will eventually lose efficiency and need replacing at a cost of $2K+. Signed, bought a 2004 hybrid and only has 150 mi left on the battery warranty.

Absolutely. It's less of an issue when it happens to men, and that it's cool as tit for tat, or as "reparation" for violent crimes. NO. Bad thing. Always bad thing.

My issues with Veronica Mars s3, let me show you them. I'm supposed to believe that a sexual assault support group sexually assaulted a guy, because they thought him guilty of rape? No. Also, the number of prison rape jokes on that show were really disturbing.

God, I hated that. Such a foul strawmanning of feminism, because they had to make it clear that Veronica wasn't actually a feminist, because "real" feminists do shit like that.

Our wings are not tired.

Years ago, I got into a GIANT fight on another forum after calling someone out for making a prison rape comment (about a "don't reach for the soap" comment). My head still aches from it.
