Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So my power has been out since 12:30 pm. This is incredibly aggravating. Made more so by the fact that my cell phone connection is really bad and I could not complete any calls to AT&T!

So I went to work twice today (and am at work now) because there are things I need to do that involve the internet (like book my vacation and pay bills!)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have several gmail addresses that all forward to Yahoo! Because I am old school. Or something.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Is this:

I suspect "the most insufferable . . . alumni in Canada" is like saying "the least sweet brand of sugar".

saying we're all insufferable? We're not! It's just McGill! And maybe UBC and McMasters.

No, it's saying that you're all pretty sufferable. You know, with the whole "Canadians are so polite" thing. Those who've seen M at work might wonder about those rumo(u)rs, though.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Anybody else watching Switched At Birth?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That person knows not of McGill.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I am covered with bug bites. I can't even remember the last time I had this many bites. Every time I walk out of the house, I come back in with more bites. Somebody apparently thinks I'm delicious.

Upon reflection, I wonder if it's because I stopped taking the B-complex vitamin supplement I used to take all the time. (No reason for stopping, just lazy.) I'm starting again; let's see if it makes a difference.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hmm. So the photo and everything is everyone viewable? I'm kinda not okay with that. I have it set up right now, and started locking stuff down. But it took me a while to figure out how, and well, I was in a Starbucks. There's only so much finagling I'm willing to do over a green tea lemonade. Will have to investigate.

In breaking non-news, it is Too Hot. It's ridic how much more miserable these temperatures are at this humidity. The humidity is killing me. Also, I stink. This does not happen to me in Arizona, and I am now taking it as a personal failing. Also? I am not doing the jumping up and down during the VBS songs the rest of this week.

Are these related?

One of the churches near Noah's school has VBS this week. I was thinking of taking him as a way to outsource any obligation to deliver any sort of god-related info that might be useful later for literary references. But instead, we went to Legoland today and tomorrow we are going to hear reggae.

Perhaps I should just take him to actual church. My mom wants me to get them baptized but I don't know of enough Catholics to actually do that.

Anyhow, VBS thwarted by Legoland.

This was the church's VBS flyer. [link] I'm a total sucker for cute flyers.

I'm so bad. I keep thinking Noah's too young to learn about God, because then he'll believe he actually exists. I'm so totally my mother's child. Not that there was any remote chance of bible teaching getting through to me.
