Thanks!
It's pretty cool here too. No likey. But since I have to wear long sleeves, I guess it's practical.
Work sent out a dress code for summer email. Most of the clothes of the other woman on our team has been outlawed. I don't feel so singled out anymore. But no miniskirts. It's California! LA! I need my short skirts! Especially on casual Friday.
Code says shoes should be shined. What if your shoes are matte? Mine are matte today. Hmmph.
My coworker was trying to say that anything above the kneecap was a miniskirt. Yeah, no. But that does make me wonder if your dress code defines "mini."
A friend of mine once worked for a large company and was asked to work on the rules for acceptable office attire. She noticed that pretty much everything that had been written before it was handed to her was about the women's clothing. Luckily, she was able to wiggle out of the project, avoiding having to get involved in what, exactly, was appropriate for women and, um, how about the guys who show up in shorts, t-shirts, and flip-flops?
I think [link] is the recipe that Teppy originally hooked me up with. We make it with vegan cream cheese and cheese when our vegan friend is coming over, and it is made of win.
Tom, you are always welcome to visit us, but I think the Yellowstone idea is an excellent one. Maybe you should pick a couple of national parks to check out! Man, I would love to do that.
The board just did something weird. Sorry about that.
I thought that was just your puckish side coming out. :)
Tom, you got yourself a place to stay in LA, complete with two friendly dogs, one cuddly cat and one, well, much-less-cuddly cat.
When's it gonna be? If you want to do southwest national parks and you get out our way, our house is always open to you. I just ask when, because, you know, I'm not actually in the house at the moment.
My vacation is August 27 through September 18.
