A friend of mine once worked for a large company and was asked to work on the rules for acceptable office attire. She noticed that pretty much everything that had been written before it was handed to her was about the women's clothing. Luckily, she was able to wiggle out of the project, avoiding having to get involved in what, exactly, was appropriate for women and, um, how about the guys who show up in shorts, t-shirts, and flip-flops?

I like the idea of a National Park tour. Yosemite is also awesome, although it's hard to get reservations in the summer.
There's always touring the Atlantic coast--you could go to Nova Scotia and work your way down, eating lobster and fried clams all the way...
I need to figure out when I'm going to Boulder, which will be my only vacation this year, I think, and it'll probably just be a long weekend anyway.
