"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

behold, laughing baby:

I heard her actually "Squee!"

Our wings are not tired.

Hasn't Pix posted a recipe she makes for vegan lasagne? Or am I misrembering? I seem to recall it was super well-received by her guests. Hmmmm. Or mebbe it was a casserole. I think buttersquash was involved.

I confused.

Butternut squash enchiladas, maybe?

I compost (required in Seattle...though mostly it is "produce that went bad while I was traveling") but still appreciate having a disposal so when doing dirty dishes, the bits and pieces don't have to be fished out of the sink for fear of backing it up!

Ding ding ding ding! Which has nothing at all to do with lasagne. Sorry.

But now I want butrernut squash enchiladas.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Butternut squash enchiladas, maybe?

Those are good, but the recipe I remember has cream cheese in them.

Of course, I got an email from my dad just now that the lasagna plan has now been scrapped in favor of DIY tacos.

When we make them we use a vegan cream cheese that is quite good.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

What about Lamentably Neglected Produce In The Fridge? That's a large source of our composting. That, and coffee grounds and eggshells.

I solve this problem by not buying produce, rarely making coffee, and, um, can you compost eggshells?

Mine, not Pix. (Although I wouldn't mind being Pix.) Also not really mine; from Vegetarian Times.

Or possibly Pix did, too, and I was just a jackass.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Many of my vegetables go to the compost bin without an interim "cooking" stage. I buy vegetables, but then I stare at them and think, "I don't feel like cooking you." Then they become slime and I compost them.

I haven't had a disposal in years. The main thing I don't like about not having one is retrieving the disgusting bits of food from the drain thing.
