Well, quite a lot of fuss. If I didn't know better, I'd think we were dangerous.

How the eff is Drew Lachey rich? I mean, 98 Degrees? How does that carry you through your life being rich.

Good investments. And if he was one of the songwriters, he made extra money. According to wikipedia, they sold 10 million albums and 700,000 singles from one song.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Sox, it might be worth your while to have a home indoor air quality test done. They can test for mold, bacteria, mites, and a variety of chemicals.

Sox, are you using a Filtrete allergen-reduction filter? If not, you might try using one and leaving the fan running.

Sox, your electric utility may offer an energy audit that includes air quality.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Does anyone have wise words about indoor allergens

I bought a Healthmate+ Junior air cleaner unit, on a rec from a friend. It seems that the air has been better with it.

Coke and pepsi always tasted OK to me. What I liked about them was the lift. Sugar high plus caffeine boost. No high, there are tons of stuff that taste better to me.

Sugar high plus caffiene boost is why I drink Mt Dew and Mello Yello. I hate the taste of every other soda, even regular Coke which I loved as a teenager. I don't bother with Diet anything anymore because it tastes awful. If I can't get sugar+caffiene it isn't worth it; I'll drink tea or water with a little fruit juice. A couple times a year I decide I'm not gonna drink sugary soda anymore and I quit, but like an addict I always go back.

All the bank horror stories! This is the second one I've heard about CHase in one day! Dear God. THis is why I'm hesitating about moving my checking account. I've been with PNC for over a decade and have had no problems with them. But the nearest branch in Virginia is a two-hour drive away, and that's hard to justify. I have a checking account with the local bank that gave me my mortgage (SunTrust), but it's been two years and they've still been unable to link my mortgage account with my checking account, and that doesn't make me feel comfortable transferring all my business to them.

Congrats to your little brother, Amy!

Happy birthday to sarameg and Sox!

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Ugh. Guys, please remind me to never ever talk about my emotional state with my parents? It always goes badly.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

I had a CapOne credit card for almost 15 years but after a series of unpleasant interactions (summarily doubled my interest rate, insisted that the only personal loan available to me was for three times the amount I had requested, outright refused to allow me to speak with anyone other than the first-level customer service rep), I decided I was spending way too much time arguing with an entity that was supposed to be a service provider. In response to my statement that I was going to cancel my account because of the issues, I was essentially told not to let the metaphorical door hit me. I later read an article that suggested that a change in business strategy had CapOne's management seeking out customers who maintained high balances over a long period of time - which is the opposite of me. This all happened several years ago and the company may have changed its approach (it keeps sending me applications inviting me to come back) but I'd rather not deal with that company again.

On related note, many of you are referencing PNC - what does that stand for?
